We have posted a new question-and-answer from Joel. The student asks: “Please go further into the subject of the stone carved out of the side of a mountain without hands.”
While you might not infer from this question that the answer will have anything to do with spiritual healing, it does. Joel relates the Biblical quote to spiritual healing in a very interesting way, making this question-and-answer a nice complement to our current study program.
We have posted a new question and answer from Joel. The student asks: “On a tape recording, I heard you say, ‘From the remnant that is left will come the new civilization.’ Please explain.”
Our selection of this question-and-answer was inspired by an intriguing essay titled “Isaiah’s Job,” sent to us by a dear Goldsmith Global participant. The essay is extracted from Chapter 13 of the book, Free Speech and Plain Language (1937), by Albert Jay Nock, and describes the work that a “prophet” does for what the Bible calls “the Remnant.” Although it was written long ago, it speaks to why we study, practice, share, and do world work.
The essay can be found online at https://www.aapsonline.org/brochures/isaiah.htm. You can also access it by clicking/tapping here.
It so happens that this question-and-answer also nicely complements our current study recording.
Donna Michel and Peggy West have announced that they will co-sponsor another World Work class with John Stephenson in September. The class will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area, near the San Francisco International Airport. For more information, contact Donna or Peggy per the “Save the Date” announcement below.
