Q: I am very much ashamed to keep calling you about a condition, which continues to manifest. Is that bad? (11-20-21)1

A:  No it isn’t.  No, it isn’t. There’s only one way that you achieve spiritual healing if you do not achieve it by your own rising in consciousness, and that is to contact the consciousness of one who is risen.  And, if contacting that consciousness once doesn’t do it, you may have to contact it a hundred times. That depends on many things.

First of all, as far as you’re concerned, it depends on to what degree are you giving up your human vices and your human virtues?  To what degree are you surrendering the sense of right and wrong, and coming into God’s grace?  To what extent are you praying for your enemies every day?  To what extent are you forgiving all those who wrong you, or your nation, or your race, or your religion?  How much time do you consciously spend in releasing the world from its burdens?

For instance, Scripture says, “If you go to the altar to pray and there remember that any man has ought against thee, first get up and make peace with thy brother, then return to the altar.”  Why?  Because your prayers are not going to reach heaven while you have a barrier across there of discord with your neighbor, with your fellow man anywhere around the globe, whether he’s a friendly neighbor or an enemy neighbor.

You cannot expect to be a transparency for God, for good, for harmony, for Spirit, while you have a block in there that says, “I’m better than my neighbor,” or “I hate my neighbor,” or “I think I have a neighbor who’s a human being.” That can’t be.  You must first go and make peace with your neighbor, and that doesn’t mean to go and apologize necessarily, although that isn’t bad if it can be done.  But the main thing is to go back quietly and sit down and realize, “Is there a mortal?  Who says so?  Am I not judging good and evil?”  Ah!  That’s what I’ve been doing—judging good and evil.  There are no evil people, but neither are there any good people. There’s only God people.

Then—then when you call the practitioner, you may find that you have an instantaneous healing.  You have become a transparency through which Spirit can shine.  But trying to get a spiritual healing through mortal, material consciousness isn’t the easiest thing in the world, and it may take a hundred contacts before you have finally awakened to whatever the nature of your own sense of right or wrong may have been.
